Christmas Bauble

Over at Beccys place her challenge for December is to use this bauble and to make a card with a fancy card fold
Beccy has some wonderful tutorials for different types of folds

    I did a U fold card
I used a plain light blue backing paper for middle piece one side had light blue with stars on it  then the other had the red baubles

I printed off the baubles coloured them in with copics the large one I printed twice to join together punched the top and bottom borders twice did a zig zag stitch on them adhered the baubles to card then adhered the bottom pieces of  the border to card to get the shape then used some Dental floss  to adhere to top and bottom and between the two baubles then adhered top borer pieces
sentiment is a gold stick on
I am in an online card group and our card swap was to have some stitching on it so this card is for that
I am also putting it in at

The X Card

I belong to a small on line card group and each month we have a card swap October was an X card

Instructions are from Beccy's place  click on the  link at it will take you there               https://beccysplace.blogspot.com/2019/06/tutorial-x-fold-cards.html
I was unsure of what the theme was going to be with this card racked my brains for ages... if only I read the theme instructions properly I could of saved myself the bother
So first there was four lots of measuring, folding and gluing the measurements on beccy's site was for a four inch square,I thought it was too small so I made it an eight inch square, much easier for increasing the distance of the folds
Then onto the backing paper I used spots and stripes also added a few embellishments
Then I put backing paper on front and back, inserted the ribbon that would tie the card into a book
Finally I came up with the idea to do a crafters theme so I found and printed off a lot of crafty sentiments so then I had to cut them all out and adhere to the card

View of the insides
Then the front
I printed out the image added Black Photo Corners to it and adhered to brown card I then used a backing paper from a natural matstack that had foil going through it ahered to front of card printed the sentiment on the computer

cat and mouse

Another card with a penny black stamp

I used a green base card, distress inked edges of image adhered to light green card used same backing paper as other cat added ribbon and little flourish

School Holidays

My grandchildren come and spend time with us in the school holidays and most of them like to craft with me  Mason who is seven is right into it at the moment but they are creations as he calls them, so we did quite a bit of creating, The thing he treasured the most was his snowman who got named spotty, We got 2 polystyrene balls  and Mason put some toothpicks in between the 2 and I hot glued them together then we got a oldish pair of my socks, one sock was for the hat the other his body the band of one sock was for the band of the hat, the bit cut off was turned inside out and I did a running stitch to gather it in then turned it back and added a wee pompom, not that you can see it, I did the gluing Mason put it into place then found some green rik rac ribbon so tht went onto the band. The other band of the sock was hot glued to the neck and where it was cut off at the bottom was sewn flat, Two pompom's were used for his arms, Mason did his face with copics the orange is meant to be his nose, I also cut a round circle to put on bottom of the snowman just to make him sit flat, we then covered a wee box with green BP stuck a ribbon on the box, added gold bow to the side so when it sits on the mantle it will hang over
Took us a while to do but Mason was so proud of it that spotty went to bed with him that night, I had visions of it breaking, but I must of glued it real good. It was the first thing he showed his parents when I took him home. I am sure they cringe when they see him coming with a bag full of his creations
