Friends

My Husband has gone away fishing so I have had two uninterrupted days in my craft room, he is back tomorrow night so I have one more day and I am making the most of it

This card is for a very dear friend of 40 years +, she lives in Christchurch and has been caught up in the earthquakes they thought things were settling down but just recently they have had more quite sizable shakes
Every now and then I send her a card just to let her know that I am thinking of them and how much I care. Sometimes it's a funny one but mostly they have a sentiment as the main focus
So this one is for Jill

I used the Anja Border Die, coloured it with a gray copic folded the card printed the sentiment onto grey card and i have to say the sentiment was meant to be straight but the card shifted  going through the printer (didn't adjust the bit on the printer )but I really like it on the slant added the organza ribbon  taped the  white and grey card together  added organza ribbon to hide join line and  tied it in a bow

This is for Kraftin Kimmie monthly challenge

Backing paper is one of those ones you just know what to do with I adhered it to pink card put a strip of pink card underneath organza ribbon,(couldn't see it without the card) printed of the picture stamped the sentiment
A lovely sketch and quick to do

Feathers

My Husband had bits of MDF left after relining the walls in the camper van, he was going to throw them out, so being a crafter I thought I could do something with them. After a bit of muttering under his breath pieces were cut to size and holes drilled in them...will do the next lot myself  This has been a project that was put aside for later thought it was about time I finished it

Sanded the edges and corners gave it two undercoats then stippled the board by putting blobs of paint here and there  can't really see it in this photo but I am sure you get the idea
I then covered it with distress ink spritzed with water and let dry wasn't very dark so I did it again
Added blue lace and braided ribbon down side Image is a prima doll stamp coloured her with copics cut an extra one so I could put the bodice on over top of feathers. Dress made with feathers with the fluffy part of them at the waist so the fluffy bits showed at the back put bodice on top of feathers with a row of beads at the bottom of the bodice Used a feather for her hair decoration with a blue bead Cut the flowers and leaves with the Cuttle Bug Did the sentiment on the computer Hearts from my stash. Threaded ribbon through holes on top  tied in a bow This can either hang buy the ribbon, or by the holes
