Saturday sketch 427
Great sketch but I decided to make a wall hanging instead of a card
I used a bit of MDF that I rescued from the Rubbish what my husband see's a s rubbish I see as potential craft
I covered it with wallpaper
I went to one of the wallpaper shops and got a sample book of wallpaper that had been deleted
great for the grand children as well
I then unraveled some hessian around the edges then glued it onto card I used PVA glue as it dries clear I also glued the unraveled edges to stop them from unraveling further I then cut the circles with the cuttle bug
This is the lace I used to put under the hessian
After gluing
The embellishments I used
Some were bought, some cut with the cuttlebug and some with the scan n cut
The full green leaves I used a embossing tool to make the leaves more real looking
And this is the end result
The sketch was meant to have a sentiment on it but as its not a card I didn't put one one
Can't really see the lace cut outs with the photo but they are noticeable
Added some lady birds kindy glitzed the flowers
All in all I am quite pleased with how it turned out
Am putting it in the Sketch Saturday challenge
http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.co.nz/
So I have been looking at this and the more I looked I have decided that there is too much greenery, so I have cut back the leaves in the middle by the ladybird and I think it looks much better

wings and things
Have made a start with the dreaded Christmas Cards and since
my children help themselves to my cards I end up making a few, not that I mind
really quite nice to think they like my cards enough to give them away
As we have a summer Christmas I like to do some non traditional Christmas cards Printed the image coloured with copics put kindy glitz on her wings and the stars cut the image with a spellbinders die found the Backing paper in my stash just worked perfect with my choice of colours added the ribbon the adhered backing paper to white base card made the yellow and purple flowers with a poinsettia die then added a flower from my stash greenery is a die and punch

Tuesday Stetch 366
I enjoy doing cards like this ,making the flowers using lace, it was all I did at one stage and as I hadn't done one like this for ages thought this would be a good sketch pattern to work with.Am quite pleased with the result
Stamped image to cream card didn't colour it in as I thought It looked nicer as it is, Cut frame with cuttlebug, adhered to backing paper adhered strip of lave to corner made the flower with same lace then added paper flowers and leaves, adhered string pearls to lace then adhered flower on top,Adhered all to cream base card added butterfly with pearls

Hearts
Another of my new dies is this Filigree Hearts
Cut the base card with the Cuttle Bug
and as the biggest die was not quite long enough I cut it half way then turned
it around for the other end
I did the same with the blue baking paper
The red card
and the image were to size
The smaller hearts Die is in
a row of 6 so I cut them up to put on the card
The 3 little hearts were
from a punch
The sentiment was stamped
The image was coloured with copics
The wings were coloured with Kindy Glitz

Star
Have done this card to put it on The Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge and although didn't necessarily have to use stars was ideal to go with the image
Green card I embossed with a star folder The image is from a mega bundle I bought at some time ago
( I don't remember who from)
cut the sparkly stars out with the scan n cut the star on the image I glittered
Very quick and easy card to do

white with a splash of colour
Just got a new die baby mobile had to try it out and in my box of embossing folders found the baby folder so it was only logical to me that they should go together
So here it is a pink mobile adhered to the top of the baby embossed folder little bow added
And here it is adhered to the middle of baby embossed folder little bow added
Am putting both of them on the get creative challenge
