Dyllin turned 11 and at the awkward stage of not knowing if she wants to be a kid, but not sure what a pre teen is either.....fun times
She is into the smurf phase at the moment so I used that as my theme and smurfette as my colour scheme I am not too sure what the fold of card is called corner something
I used a butterfly backing paper, came free in a magazine, adhered to base card stamped the sentiment and put onto the circle die cuts, cut the 11 out with the scan n cut, made smurfette stand up with a easel, have a row of wee flowers to help it stay in place added a wee butterfly on the front and a bow on the top near the folded part of the card on the bottom part of the card did not stay in place properly tried a few things to get it to stay and in the end used a bit of velcro
This card was easy to make and I was rather pleased how it turned out,the card also folds flat for posting

beccy's dinosaur
Over at beccy's place the freebie for February is this dinosaur so have used it for her challenge
I printed the dinosaur twice and flipped one over so they were facing each other and did another two so I could put it on top, coloured with copics, did the sentiment and printed it all off. Die cut the card, used the backing paper that came with the dinosaur, added baby ribbon and adhered all to white base card

Mason turning 8
I have also had time to do a birthday card for Mason, my little craft buddy of the moment,he has just turned 8 I have to admit it is not entirely all my own work saw something similar on pinterest
I found the sentiment on the web and printed it onto the green card
I then used the happy birthday embossing folder on it then adhered it to dark green card then onto light green base card this is what I copied
Printed off Mason's picture made a frame and adhered to card
Just a basic card but he loved that it was his face on the card and that I said he was awesome
The Box
I bought this box a few years ago thinking I can do something with this, after shifting it around my craft room a few times I finally got around to it.The drawers were different colours so I sanded them back to bare wood and then sanded the rest
I then undercoated it all even the insides of the drawers
and lined them with scented paper
covered it all with a white spider lace....not that it is all that noticeable
Had to buy the wee handles from china couldn't find any around my area
They were inexpensive sturdy with 6 to a pack so more for another project perhaps
Added flower lace to the top edges of the drawers adhered a pearl in each center
Made the flower with 3 different lace's and adhered a embellishment brooch in the center. Used thin ribbon and sewed embellishments on also a string of pearl ribbon, adhered to bottom of flower then adhered to the top. Added pearl ribbon to the key tied a bow with spider lace and adhered to the box
The box took a few weeks to make ... waiting for bits to dry,I am happy with how it turned out although I don't know about it being all white, maybe when I decide who I am giving this to I could add a hint of colour
