Just for you

This time at creative knockouts I chose this image calla lilies from Twinkle Lane Designs I know we associate Lilies for a bereavement  card but they don't need to be with all the different colours you can get

A few years ago (before Covid) I got this die cut out of china, as I was into edged cards, this one I never used  I cut it onto a white base card and then a while later decided the orange card looked ok under it and so it sat, then I found the ribbon and adhered it to the card and still it sat then I got the lily Digi and decided to colour them orange after a bit of a hunt I found it again
So I printed off the stamp with the sentiment coloured it with copics found some more of the orange card lucky me it was the same, cut it out fancy, adhered to front with foam squares I then fussy cut the pot of lilies and also adhered them with foam squares
Think I will use this image a lot

Snow much fun

This week at creative knockouts the theme is snow much fun using our own image As we don't have snow where I live I decide that a funny snow card is what I would do I don't really know if this is appropriate on this site so I apologise if this offends any one We have a friend who's sense of humour is very much like ours so it is always a surprise when we swap cards I don't know where they find the card they give us, This is my card for them

The image was already coloured the Backing Paper was from my stash of Christmas papers it was adhered to green card I cut the snowflakes on the cuttle bug  I did them in groups of three glued them together pressed them into a glue pad and covered them with Glitter on the inside of the card I have put some white card with a strip of the backing paper down the side I will also put some glitter in the inside of the card so it will fall out when open... Faux Snow

Time to be merry

This week at creative knockouts is Time to be merry with an image from mirtillamente   called christmas tree  it is a great image and one that my grand children will also like to colour in

Here in new Zealand we have a summer Christmas so I try to do non traditional Christmas cards.I coloured the image with copics adhered it to red card then a green card I then punched a small hole in the corner and tied a bow, I put the candy cane which is a button, onto the bow before tying it off  I then found the striped  backing paper adhered to red card then all onto a white base I adhered the image on a slight angle because not every thing has to be straight or square

This week at creative knockouts is Christmas delight with a image from patties creations using this image gingerbread house  thought it would be a nice stamp for the grandchildren to use as well

I started off thinking I would make the snow globe as my base card but it wouldn't stand up for long so it ended up on this card coloured the gingerbread house with copics added a bit of glitter glue with extra glitter to the roof and window ledges. For the bottom of the glob I used brown kraft paper, added the brads and stamped a sentiment

And as suspected one of my grandsons, came here after school to make his mother a birthday card, spotted the spare I had printed out and wanted to make one himself this is his effort as I still had the copics out that I had used he copied my card with a candy cane bottom and some star brads think he wants to have this laminated to hang on his Christmas tree, so I guess I will be peeling it off the card or we will make others

Rudy

This week at creative knockouts is anything but a square my image to use was Rudy The image was from  leanns .world she has some lovely digital stamps. So I decided as it was getting nearer to Christmas I would do something different .... Not a Card this time and this is what I ended up with

I had a hard job taking a photo of Rudy as I wanted to show it hanging but I finally got one that I was happy with. After  a bit of resizing and when I figured out how big I wanted Rudy to be ,I made a mirror image of it printed it out then cut them out with the scan n cut, I then got too and coloured them with copics,  I made three of them, took a bit of time for them to dry before I got to recolour them I then glued them together and once they were all dry I laminated them this one I punched two holes in the top and threaded thin gold ribbon through it so it could hang up I have also printed and cut out 12 more in various sizes because I know my grandchildren will want to make one when they see this

So here is the three I have done you can see how I have made the mirror image by the side the tail is on  I have not put thread on the other two they might end up on a card or on a tree at one of the grandchildren's house
The sizes of the Reindeer are

Large 21 cm
Med   14cm
Small 12 cm

Time to Garden

This week at  creative knockouts its about finishing the inside, depending on how much is put on the front of the card it can be too flimsy so we put something in the inside and we don't all ways show it The image used this week was from patties creations and I chose this image to work with gardening time

Outside of card
I found the backing paper first thought it was bright and cheerful put me in mind of sunflowers so I adhered it to yellow card then onto a white base card, coloured images with copics then fussy cut,  adhered them to card with foam cut the flower and leaves on the Cuttle Bug I used distress ink to do the edges of the flower then adhered to card did the sentiment on the computer

Inside of card
I adhered backing paper to the base card then the white card that I printed the image coloured with copics then stamped the sentiment I then put a thin strip of the card on the top of card  The more I look at the inside I think I should of got the flower images a bit close to the edge by measuring and cutting  it a bit better

Curvy

This weeks theme at Creative knockouts is Fall, but here in NZ it's spring and across the road from my house there are baby lambs in the paddock. So cute jumping around

The image I am working with is curvy katarina from Sheep Ski Designs

I decided to colour her  autumn colours, I started off with a maroon colour, and was putting it together when I saw a thumb print with black ink on it, so another was started and I ended up with these colours and I think it is much nicer than the originalI found the panel piece in my stash and adhered to yellow card colored the image with copics adhered to yellow card I uses a brown metallic backing paper adhered to white base card I then adhered the image and panel to the brown BP cut the leaves and flower on the cuttlebug I scrunched the petals up a bit to give it some depth. I have not put a sentiment on it as yet will do nearer the time to giving it to someone, also I think not all cards need to have a sentiment on it

Butterfly

This week at  Creative Knockouts is anything goes

For this card I tried something new making a stamp with a die cut There was a bit of time making this card  You cut two of your die cut using water colour card or something similar, you then ink them both one on the back side that is the one you drench in water and press to the card, I don't think I had the right card as mine did not stamp on the paper so well so after a couple of goes (that ended in the bin) I re inked the butterfly and pressed it to image then I left it overnight to completely dry

I adhered the image to pink card then onto a blue base card then added the top butterfly adhered a string of beads and stamped the sentiment

I think this might be a good thing for a favourite die cut, as I have many stamps, and I will use a  proper water colour card

Just for you

This weeks challenge at creative knockouts is anything goes with a image from Mirtillamente I chose this one called just for you

I have to say that the images on the site are not normally what I would use but I was one of the ones to chose a image, I picked this one girl also has long hair  and as I was fussy cutting her I decided to chop her hair as well, I still struggle a bit with colouring hair. I started off with a pink card and made half a sun burst I then used mustard seed distress ink and went around all the sides and lightly over the backing paper originally the card with the backing paper was on the right  hand side  but I liked it more on the left, thankfully I had forgotten about the sentiment, that was a bit of a mission getting that in the right place. I then put more distress ink around the card and the plain card so now it looks slightly orange I adhered a light pink ribbon down the middle although it looks sparkly in the photo. coloured the image with copics fussy cut her and adhered to card, found the "hugs and kisses" die cut in my stash Rather like the image and I will use it again I can see her with a bottle of wine in her hand

people

This DT card for creative knockouts this week is for a anything goes card as the sponsor doesn't provide a image which is ok for me as I get to do my own thing.

I like to use lace, pearls, flowers and such on cards So for this card I started with a yellow / cream base card, and another for adding bits to. The lace is from my stash, (I have a container full of lace and I love the bits I have and sometimes I don't really want to put it on a card and then I think, why not, it's there to be used) I then put ribbon above it and added the pearls The flowers are also from my stash, the larger one I put a pearl in the middle added the other little flowers cut some leaves from the same colour, then made a little angel from a pin and some wings and a pearl did the sentiment on the computer distress inked the edges and adhered to the card
This photo doesn't show the colour of the card but I think it looks nice and it all blends in together
